Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Definitely not S. cordifolia or S. rhombifolia. Not sure if it's another species of Sida or another genus entirely.

The dried flower does look somewhat similar, except for the star-like thing around it. But the leaves are way off and the stems shouldn't be red.

Here's a picture of my S. rhombifolia, let me know if you need to see any part of the plant in particular.

That is nothing like a Sida. I have hundreds of actual Sida plants out here and I see them constantly. Hell I spend most of my days trying to snatch them all out of my garden. You can't seem to kill these bastards.

After I uproot them they stay alive for nearly 5 days out of the ground :facepalm:

@Spacedout201: Did you ever try to consume these Sida plants, maybe make a tea with the leaves? Or do only a couple of Sida spp. contains sufficient amounts of ephedrine analogs?

The main alkaloid in S.Cordifolia is ephedrine.
The other Sida varietys i have not read anything about but they probably have ephedrine in unknown amounts.

More ephedrine in the roots but it takes a good amount of time from seed before the alkaloids seem to form in abundance. You really need to start from a decent sized plant. That plant will seed and next year you should have more than you know what to do with.

Mine are Sida cordifolia. They are tricky to start from seed but once you have a plant you're good to go.

If in Europe a Sida Cordifolia live plant is just 6.3 Euro plus shipping.
Just search web for your local nurseries and see if they have it.

I don't know how you got them to germinate Space! I though that maybe my seeds were old, but when I tried some from other sources, I still had no luck with those either. What's the secret?

Wetting the seeds down for a couple days and only putting the ones that swell into proper germination methods. It's pretty difficult.

Took me 2 years of trying to get it to work

You must score the hulls of seeds . They must be cleaned of the rough husk so that you have the bean. And you must take this of a course brick or stone or on sand paper and rub it back and forth until you see white abrasions.

Seeds are best sown scored .

Even with this they are likely to germinate at a rate of 40-60% .

Meaning ALOT of seeds just won't germinate ever even if you do this .
