Sida Rhombifolia aka wire weed has ephedrine as an active component and there are claims of producing "maraijuana like" effects. I will be smoking a joint of freshly collected and dried sida that I have been cultivating.

Wow, I never knew about the ephedrine! I've had some seeds sitting here for a while, I'll have to get them in when spring comes.

Well it definitely works. After one joint mild hallucinatory effects (like smoking half a bowl mild) are noticeable before I even finish. I don't feel uber focused like adderall (a some what related drug) but I am definitely working faster. Also guitar is more difficult than normal to play, perhaps some minor motor skill loss?

Chea I think I'll have another.

I have tried several other plants that I am cultivating. Such as passiflora incaranata that did not produce any noticeable effects. I try to be as impartial and unbiased as possible. This absolutely had an effect although it was not powerful by any means.

After my second joint a relaxation lasted for a good 90 min. There was some sense distortion but my thought patterns were not disrupted or changed as they would be under cannabis. My eyes did seem to get "chinky" however. lol

To place a general potency on this substance it would rate close to the middle of tobacco and cannabis for me personally. Quite an unpleasant smoke but I would have to say not a terrible substitute for cannabis. I will use this again in the future. I also want to note that 3 hours after smoking I laid down and could feel my blood pulsing through my ears/neck and hear it clearly(heart rate normal, didn't take pressure). This did not last for very long. Be cautious and always check to see if ephedrin could react with anything you're taking.
