Best one I have found for the car.. I have several. You want the 2.4amp ones.

The 12 volt cig lighter converters are better than my mustangs built in ones, you probably need a luxury car for a fast charging built in usb.

eBay gives over 4000 results. Hence why I was asking for one that somebody actually knows works..

The Duracell inverters are great, I used to use one to plug in my hot plate at work but someone stole it...
Anyway yeah that inverter never failed me.

I would recommend buying a couple. They are small and easy to lose. At least, in my experience.

If you want the best chance for one that will work well and charger faster than syrup going downhill on a frozen morning you should look for one thats made or endorsed by your phone manufacturer.  It might cost you more, but generally you have a better chance its been tested properly and meets some sort of minimum performance requirements.

Since buying a pixel I've run into numerous issues with chargers of various types either being ultra slow or failing.  I started buying the "official" pixel chargers and they work great.

I do use generic cables most of the time however.  Amazon basics cables work well.

I found that too, but I discovered it's mostly because a lot of the shitty adapters use low amperage ratings. like .5 or 1amp.
That's enough to charge older phones, but it's not good enough for modern smart phones. You need bare minimum 2amps for a smartphone and 3amps for a tablet to charge it while it's on or to "fast charge".
I've also seen adapters that advertise 2.4amps.. but total shared across both ports and has two ports so it's actually 1.2amp per. Ones that are 2.4amp PER slot are what you want
So definitely got to pay attention to the specs on it. I thought it was due to OEM vs Non-OEM too - that turned out to not be the case.. just look for high quality.

I've gone through a metric fuckload of chargers. The one I linked above is solid AF for car use. Couple more wall adapters I'd recommend.

The original USB spec outlined 500mA maximum on the +5V line which is why many adapters are limited to that output. Even if they have a higher rating, some phones apparently sense the adapter to establish if it is capable of high speed charging and if the adapter doesn't meet the proprietary standard of the phone, the phone will revert to slow charging nonetheless. Your best bet is therefore a charger that is explicitly stated to be compatible with high speed charging on your particular phone.
