I'm back on the keto wagon (no sugar, pasta, bread, rice, potatoes, middle of the aisle grocery store products)

So I went to the dollar store todaay to get some spray bottles (I got four, I constantly need them and I've pushed back getting them long enough.

So I was taking to my mom through my earbuds so I looked like a schizo talking to himself.

Anyway, I'm a guy, I shop like a guy, I have atarget, I seek it. I don't look at shit for hours.

I was distracted because I was on the phone and when I got in the into the food aisle. All shit food of course, candy, chips, ramen etc.

That's when I unconsciously stop and reached for ramen....

When I realized what I was doing my concious mind had to intervene. My willpower, judgement, commen sense and disclipline had to pepperspray and taze my impulsiveness and throw it back into solitary...

I craved the sugar more than I crave alcohol.... I felt as if I was offered drugs...

Sugar is dangerous...

fats. Olive oil, butter, bacon, almond, nuts, eggs, etc

I’m not even flaming or whatever but this guy is on a β€œKeto diet” for what I’d assume are health concerns. And thinks it’s cool to get most of his calories from bacon and butter.  Come on really.

There's nothing dumb about putting your body into ketosis. It's a fascinating experience. I spent about a week in it a couple of weeks back and would've stayed longer if not for beer.

I restarted 4 days ago (which explainss why sugar still appeals to my brain).

This is a temporary thing is it not. You don’t start this with the intent of going for months or years. Because some people actually do eat that way, not just for trendy body reset diets or whatever.

I started reading a new book. It's not a super power though lol. it's just extra sharpness. It's hard to explain. Go keto for a month and you'll know. You'll also lose 20 pounds.

You can do it all your life. It's the diet we had pre 1900s. Our ancestor hunted, ate the meat and fat because they could not afford to waste food and they ate veggies.

Back in the stone age, the human brain got super fueled once they discovered hunting, meat and fat is the reason we are so smart today. Cavemen didn't discover Fruit Loops. They discovered animal meat.

It reduces your weight, your chance at diabetes and it lowers the risk of a fuck ton of other shit. It's the perfect nutrition.

What's the longest you've got Patlal?

I did a couple months and felt great, but I live with a family who is not on board. So being around junk food whenever I was home was stressing me out to the point that I was angry all the time.

It also kind of drives me nuts that my kids get as much sugar as they do, even if it's less than most kids do. I've never seen any drug addict flip out about not getting their fix as bad and as often as kids fiending for sugar.

Unfortunately in our culture most people think your a fucking whack job if you feed your kids garbage regularly.

I feel so dumb (like literally mentally dull) whenever I eat sugar, pasta, bread, etc... I don't even have to try to not eat that stuff it just doesn't appeal to me at all anymore because of how shitty I feel when I eat it.

I did 3 months last year. August through October. I fell off the wagon. I love pasta so fucking much. I've been sugar sober for 4 days now.
