Growing P.Viridis and B.Caapi from seed
    #24876397 -

I'm ordering P.Viridis and B.Caapi seeds from one of our beloved sponsors tonight. I plan on following their instructions for germination.

I will update this thread when I receive the seeds and prep them.

Never tried to grow P.Viridis from seed as leafcutting work so well for P.Viridis.
All you need is a leaf to get many new plants.
B.Caapi i tried grow from seed but the seeds i got from a online vendor wasnt viable and was old and dry.
It will be intresting to see what happens, good luck.
If it´s one of shroomerys sponsors the seeds are probably good.

Here are some pics from P.Alba leaf cutting process:

Good luck

I'd prefer to start with cuttings, but this vendor doesn't have p.viridis cuttings in stock and the seeds are cheap. I try to stick with sponsors when possible.

They have caapi plants but I'd like the genetic diversity of starting from seed, plus seeds are cheaper by a long shot.

If I can't get them to germ or live past seedlings then I'll order live plants, hopefully they have p.virdis cuttings in stock then.

I've never done aya and would like to, but I think I'll have a way more enlightening experience if I grow the plants myself. Help them through their journey and they'll help me with mine. Plus p.viridis leaves are getting difficult to find for us non-bitcoin members in the states (from vendors I trust at least)

Do you know how to tell the difference between P.Viridis and P.Alba?
If not, you can look at the leaf and if they have a short "stem" on the leaf then it is an P.Alba.
On P.Viridis the leaf starts directly where the leaf attaches to the stem.

This is an P.Alba that were sold to me by an internet vendor as P.Viridis:

This is also P.Alba leaves, see the "stem" part on the leaf, P.Viridis dont have that.
On Viridis the leaf starts directly where the leaf is attached to the stem.

Dont have a pic of a P.Viridis leaf but look at some P.Viridis threads and you see what i mean.
A few years ago it was very common that P.Alba where sold as P.Viridis by vendors.
I hope this has changed and vendors offer true P.Viridis now.
A good honest vendor is very good to have, so much scams going on online.
Never heard anything bad about our sponsors so they are honest i belive.

I can definitely see the difference between p.alba and p.viridis based on the pics you have and what I've seen. This sponsor carries both and has info on the site for distinguishing the 2 so I trust they are true p.viridis and fairly fresh.

I doubt a sponsor would intentionally sell the wrong product or sub standard products, this site has been up for almost 21 years and continues to grow. No one with a sense of business would ever dream of screwing over the members of this community. This particular vendor has been a sponsor for over 7 years.

Oh i also think our vendors are OK.
But a few years ago many sites on i-net sold P.Albas as P.Viridis.
This was not intentionally i think.
They simply didnt know the difference as the 2 are very similar.
This got quite big publicity when everyone started to find out.
Im happy to hear the knowledge to separate them are forwarded by our vendors.

I had plans to try extract something from my P.Viridis and got quite dissapointed when i found out my Viridis was in fact a P.Alba.
But its all history now and im not so intrested to make spice anymore.
It scared the shit out of me.
But maybee i will take up this interest sometime in the future.

I might try extracting my p.viridis at some point but my main interest is ayahuasca at this point. Idk how feasible it is to grow m.hostilis indoors, but that would be my primary spice plant. Too bad it's getting hard to find mhrb in the states.

It's a shame how plants get condemned by the ignorant and closed minded. They're plants for fucks sake, I can understand regulating synthetic substances, but plants?

EDIT: looks like I gotta find a different source for seeds, the vendor I was gonna use doesn't accept cards atm and I don't feel like dealing with the mail order process.

Sweet! I'm still on the hunt for the seeds I want. I can get plant material all day long but seeds and live plants seem to allude me.
