Ziziphus mauritiana (Chinee apples)

Morning folks, this is a new account but I have been using this website since 2014.

I am wondering if anyone has knowledge of this plant? In Australia it is nicknamed 'Chinee apple' due to the introduction of the species by Chinese travelers.

The leaves, stems and fruits of the plant can be used to make several medicines. I experienced the medicinal benefits of this plant in winter 2017. The plant called me to begin ingesting her fruits, in which I did for several weeks. I was constantly eating the fruits, always having a seed in my mouth, and also making brews out of it by boiling the fruits(seeds included) in green tea. Within a couple days of eating the fruit, I noticed a considerable change in myself. I had been loaded with natural energy, enough to get my out of bed and have joggers on my feet ready for a run just minutes after awakening. The most considerable thing i noticed was a change in my mental state. It was not as if I was high, for it is a more patient plant than that, but I felt very calm and wise. Much like an old Chinese man is portrayed. Often drinking tea, reading, meditation and cleaning my house more than my lazy self would.

I have read that this fruit was used for hypnosis, but I have struggled to find further information on that. I was also on gold tops one night and decided to eat a fruit and suck on the seed, the two went together well. It put me in a very calm state of meditation.

So if anyone knows anything further about this, please. And for those who have the plant in their area, I suggest indulging in the fruit during her winter fruiting period.

Splendid, might I add that there is a chemical called 'betulinic acid' in the seeds that has anti cancer properties.

I made a new account because I hadn't used my first one in so long, I forgot the password, it only had one post though.

DOes this plant keep rolling it's apples up a hill?

    If by rolling apples up a hill you mean the plant is known to breed in a direction which can move up hills, then yes, very easily. Pick a spot, these seeds will somehow make it there. But if you meant otherwise, please let me know. Cheers :smile:
