Only 20 pounds, in 1 month. But I've always been very slim, as I don't eat red meat much at all. My father lost way more in a month, but he's kind of a fat guy in general.

I could ask him how much he lost/time period if you are that interested. It's a really great diet.

Ah well the only thing bad per say about a sandwich for me is normally the bread. I very rarely eat sandwich meat anymore and it's only turkey or chicken when I do. There's just too much bullshit in sandwich meat. Even the better more natural brands normally have nitrates.

Generally the only sandwiches I eat now is additive free grilled or fried chicken or veggie.

I make grilled veggie sandwiches that will make you cream your metaphorical panties. And be relatively good for you :cookiemonster:

Butter or oil, cheese, vegetables of choice, Mrs. Dash garlic and herb or original.

I make a white cheddar broccoli, red pepper (must be fresh), and onion sandwich. The broccoli should be split and lightly cooked and it gives it a nice crunch and contrasts well with the gooey cheese.


If you don't want the fat of the cheese you could probably go for a well seasoned egg. But if you just want a veggie sandwich without the cheese it needs to be fresh, not grilled. Then it kinda becomes more like making a salad on bread. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I like an egg over easy, with spinach and pepperjack on rye, or pumpernickel. I cook almost everything with coconut oil.

That vegetable sandwich sounds delicious.

I used to go to a hippie restaurant where they sold a vegan grilled sandwich that they would put on some flat bread and they would put hot sauce on it.  I did not like the fake vegan cheese so I only had it with that once.

I just used the last of our bread making pb and strawberry jam sandwiches for me and the kiddo. But now I want a toasted peanut butter slice... :sad:

I want to like avocado so much but just can't. Plus when I was making myself eat more I think I might be allergic. Scratching mouth and my throat felt really closed up, was hard to breath. Poo.


But dang Cookie, something so simple for your recipes. They sound extra delicious.

Same here cookie. Spinach is a HUGE part of my diet.
