I had a friend who has pretty bad Tourette's.. Not quite as bad him, but still pretty bad. Of all the things he could've done with his life (he's not dead or anything) he chose to go into the Army.. Can you just imagine basic training as someone with Tourette's? Lol... Probably drove his drill instructor insane.

I'm not sure how he got in, I'd assume any condition that involves involuntary speech and muscle spasms would prevent someone from being an effective soldier for so many reasons.. Last I heard though he'd already served his four years or whatever and was back stateside.

i had a type of tourettes when i was younger.

i could constantly make a throat clearing noise cuz i felt a phantom scratchiness, and i would make this bleeping noise because i trained myself to believe that fixes the discomfort.

i dont have the condition anymore but i can still feel the impulse to perform these compulsions.

i also have OCD which i believe run on similar pathways with performing compulsions/rituals.

same problem as this little girl

A lot of them do, my friend did. He didn't care when people laughed at him, even his friends, he knew they couldn't help it as much as he couldn't help his spasms. It gets the worst when they're excited and it can create a feedback loop where you laugh at them and they get excited and do it worse so you start laughing harder and yeah lol. Smoking weed around these people is practically a death sentence for you :lol:
