you need vermiculite...perlite is not its subsitute.

Walmart should have it. Look harder - Should be next to the white rice. Just buy a bag of organic/natural brown rice.

If there is a Price Copper near you,they have it in the organic food section,across from the pasta in the one by me.they have about 15 kinds.

Organic or natural long grain brown rice...

This is what my buddy used, and is working fine for him:



Got it at walmart for 1.19, put it in the blender, and he had BRF.

Just look for brf in the health section of your local major grocery store. I get verm at Stein's or a gardening place

I was going nuts trying to find Vermiculite and Perlite, all over the city. Then I found it, just a short walk from my house, at a local nursery!

BRF from HEALTH FOOD stores. You know - the shops that sell beefcake stuff for bodybuilders.

I use the Mahatma brown rice at Walmart and grind it up in a coffee grinder. Lowes has both Vermiculite and Perlite, both at under 3 dollars here in Texas.

I got verm and perl at "Earl MAy" a garden store... i tried wal-mart and k-mart and target's gardening sections first and none of them had it.

As for brown rice flour i had to go to a health food store aptly named "Akin's food store"

And if you don't know who Dr. Akin is you've been living under a rock.... damn health nuts, because of them all my favorite fatty foods are being replaced by "LOW CARB!"

Verm: 20lbs at home depot for like $15
BRF: Whole Foods Market...don't know how far across the country they go but definitely california.

verm and perlite are two differant things there not a subsiute for each other now that its spring it might be easier to find wall mart has verm lowes home depot fred meyer and home and garden center should try a hyrdro ponics store

and helth food store will have organinic brown rice or organic brown rice flour
