Canadian and no desire to serve in the military
my cousin did three tours in the middle east with the US Army
but when he signed up for a 4th they said they could not send him overseas anymore
due to being born in Canada
will maybe ask his feelings on it sometime

donald trump is the figure head. you really think he didn't talk to the generals before this to figure out the viability of such a plan?

he receives recommendations and acts on them, as do all businessmen or people with a lick a sense, in this case, the joint chiefs gave him advice and he acted on it. just because he tweeted it doesnt mean he came up with it.

my cousin ended up joining the US Army after moving to Texas
but my family itself is several generation RCAF
as for myself, helped my grandfather in a 'fight' years ago
after a war museum claimed the Air Force indiscriminately bombed Germans

personally think it is better for willing trans individuals to be banned now anyway
then unwilling trans individuals will be less likely to face Draft in the future
