You'll have much better luck posting this in the hunting forum.
I can tell you now they don't look like it to me, were they all from the same patch? It would help if we had more information. The gills don't look to be the right color and the stems should be white with blue/green stains not that rusty color. Normally I'd just say no but the one on the far right seems to have bluish bruising near the cap but still the rest of it just doesn't look right at all. Definitely don't eat. You'll have much better luck in 7 months.

yep, doesnt look like them. i'd say to give up cyan hunting for the year and wait till they're back in season, say october-november.
however, if you do have another ID question, i'd suggest posting in the hunting forum, and also add some comments such as what the mushroom was growing on, and where you live.
good luck, hope to see some cyan pics from ya in the fall!

yeah, its pretty sure. its the wrong season, and theres no blueing whatsoever. even if you were to find them this late, there would for certain be blue bruising.
again, the season is roughly october-dec/jan (or when theres a couple good freezes)
good luck

Well you should give more info if you want a definite answer. What was it growin on? a spore print is always key but wouldn't be to easy being this dried. Although I have seen cyans dried out without any bruising it really isn't common. And again the gills just don't look right. Try rehydrating one in water. Sometimes after a few good days of wind they will completely dry out and the subsequent rains will come and rehydrate them bursting cells and bringing out stains.
At first glance i thought it was a picture of a pile of dogshit so it is hard to tell from those. In my opinion, they're not but when this gets moved you'll get plenty of other opinions.

Please do not pick shriveled up shrooms unless uy you like some bateria in your tummy. Dried shrooms are not a good ID for someone to give.

And if they were Cope Cyans they would of blued as would have P. cyanescens which is gone till next fall.

sorry about putting this in the wrong forum. but this might be why they haven't bruised...
Sometimes after a few good days of wind they will completely dry out and the subsequent rains will come and rehydrate them bursting cells and bringing out stains.
That's true, but i live in northen cali, and we had rains, and then a n intense heat wave for like 4 days str8. They may have just grown and been caught in the heat.
They were growing on a mountain kinda near san francisco. they were growing near these hay bails and woodchips to stop errosion of part of the mountain.

thats not bluing. And its gills are rusty colored which means its could be a deadly galerina.
I don't mean to be pissy or whatever, but those people with the green names know what they are talking about. DO NOT EAT THAT MUSHROOM!

They really don't look like cyans but if you want a true ID then just revisit the site and pick some fresh ones for us to ID. Read the sticky at the top of this forum to make sure you give us all the needed info. Like I said earlier, it does look like there is some staining but the other features don't match up and it is very hard to tell colors by pictures they have a weird way of changing thing on ya. The other features do match up to a galerina, which are poisonous, it just isn't worth it. But again if you're so adament you found something then you won't mind travelling back to that spot and getting fresh ones. I would at least be interested.

That's not bluing. Looks more like the blackening reaction that happens to aging Galerinas. Do not eat.

I got a notification of this thread, actually after I had looked at it. My first thought was they look deadly, perhaps galerina. As Gumby said DO NOT EAT

As the other said, that's not blueing. It's darker, but it doesn't look blue. When we say blue, it means a clear, obvious blue color.
Since the gills are a rusty brownish color and the bruising is dark, perhaps black, that suggests Galerina. Some Galerinas are deadly and none should be eaten.
Happy mushrooming!
