Next time inoculate the jars with more spores per hole, I use about 1 mL per hole on my half pints. You can only inoculate about 3 jars per syringe that way, but mine are ready to birth within 9 days after inoculation.

1) more spore liquid per hole

2) temperature: mid to high 80s

3) darkness

pint jars work just fine. They just take a little longer and you need a terrarium that's a little bit taller.

try putting your jars in a shoe box with a heating pad on top to get the correct temperature. use a thermometer. don't just guess. aim for 85-86 degrees and remember that the cakes are hotter in the jar than the outside air.
