my "friend" has cut cakes in half before. it seems to produce a moderately higher number of fruits from what i saw. probably makes moisture in the air more readily availiable to each half because of increased surface area...give it a try.

It works for my friend too. He says it make picking them easier.

Those are some samples of cakes that were cut in half and fruited. PES Haw.
