I've had the same thing. When you birth it, the yellow spots look somewhat jelly-like. If you just touch them with a tissue, they should get absorbed almost completely, so it may be water damage imho. In my jars those spots occur mostly in places where condensations drops on the side of the jar remain in contact with the cake for a while.

You should be fine though, nothing much to fear.
