Anyone go Skiing/Snowboarding on Christmas Eve or Christmas?

One of the rituals my dad had done with me as a kid and as an adult for many years is take me and him skiing in the mountains on Christmas or Christmas Eve.

Tomorrow im carrying the tradition but on Christmas Eve with my GF and her son and his friend.

Anyone partake in this awesome but expensive tradition?

I'll probably hit the slopes in the morning on christmas since there's blackout dates on my pass till the new year after christmas

im skiing the 9th of january. the slopes here are stupidly crowded during the holiday.

Never been snowboarding, sounds like a lot of fun tho especially on Christmas.

I worked as a snowboard instructor in CO and would specifically request to work holidays (thanksgiving, xmas eve, xmas) because I would get much better tips.

It is pretty crowded tho and the roads....oh God the traffic is horrendous
