Calling all Psychonauts : Adventure of a Lifetime

Day One
October evening and the sky was bright with stars, colors and emotion. Some colors that I had never seen before had materialized on the vast plane – they painted the clouds and the city in the distance , a city that had always been there although I’d never recognized it. As I lay on the sand I realized that I had for so long been confined in a repetitive motion of circular thought, focusing my mind on societies ambitions; but that night I had been freed , my mind was my own again. Till morning I continued my dialogue with the stars and when the suns Technicolor rays crept over the horizon my senses were heightened and I returned home with her hand in mine . We talked about the evening , the insight we had gained and the future. That morning I knew what my purpose was and I decided that I would actualize my potential and push forward in my efforts to make the world a better place – to do something for humanity.
Proposal
That was three years ago. Today , I've found that my purpose is to share and educate people but more so to discover and chronicle the mysteries of the unknown. In the footsteps of the greats before me I wish to contribute to the ushering of a new psychedelic era.
I've been to South America a few times in the passed 3 years . For about 3 month average . The cost of living there is LOW - The Quality of Life is HIGH. Eventually Id like to move back down there an create form an intellectual self sustaining psychedelic expat community. If anyone is down to discuss the possibilities please respond or PM me .
This post is a beacon to find the far and few between who are down for the Adventure of a lifetime . An adventure that will surely make an impact of psychedelic research and history it self. Post about yourself.
About Me:
I was Born in Georgia during a Great Blizzard. I've lived in Florida, Newyork and All over South America. I'm a Photographer , Shaman, and IT professional. I am currently pursuing a masters degree and saving . My interests outside of psychedelics include philosophy , science , art, music and meditation.GDF I use cannabis and mushrooms regularly and find that they have enhanced my life in may ways. I'm working on two books currently - One about psychedelic Shamanism and one about internet security. I currently reside in NYC and looking to connect with like-minded individuals .

I have visions of doing the same myself at some point in the future in Australia. I have the most important part already; privately owned and fertile land, complete with natural springs and abundant wildlife.
Lets see what the future holds!

Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

1/4 of the land there (5000+ acres) will eventually fall into my name and I have a passport.
Bit of a no brainer, really.

Do you have rich Aussie family or something?
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

More like a big piece of land that everyone on that side of the family is squabbling over cause my Grandfather that owns it is on his death bed. They're not rich, it's just been in the family a long time. I mean it's a working cattle & sheep farm, and my cousin (who is very much like me) is running it right now, and I'm intending to head out there and join him asap, see what we can do with the place to bring in some more revenue.
He's pretty confident that all the squabbling and legal shit won't be able to tear the land out from under his/our feet, and I trust his judgement entirely.

I feel I need to do something like this, at least once in my life, but it always feels as if life in general is opposed to it, at least my life here in Canada. Not even necessarily south america, but in general I feel a very deep need to go into the psychedelic and mystic mindset more, hopefully pursuing my art further, and specifically living somewhere quiet, forested and removed from city life. Maybe it's an unrealistic wish though, hard to say

Definitely interested. We come from similar backgrounds and even lived in similar places, op.

10 years ago I would've been all about this. Now I'll just come visit a few times a year.
