Personally, I'm here to find like-minded people, explore new ideas, and attack & defend (merely for the occasional ego boost).

I try to learn the most I can, all that i can get out of the threads and the progression of a discussion. But sometimes i lose the point of some threads, and i dont end up learning too much. I can see a lot of behavior, but other than that, i try to pick up as much information as i can. The more clouded that information is though, the harder it is to pick up on.

I don't think there is neccassarily any purpose to us being here, and I especially disagree with attacking and defending as possibilities..  Attack & Defend reminds me of a spectrum, equal to black and white - one side vs the other - this is the kind of view I think a lot of us are trying to pull away from - if there was one purpose that can be agreed upon, it's to experience.  We're all here, and we all experience - learning is something that comes along with that, bu as the purpose, I don't think so...

who knows tho..  I just spew bullshit half the time anyways :wink: :laugh:

I guess I'd be considered an "attacker," but it's not so much to defeat others as to make them defend their views. I hate it when people make outrageous claims and then when those claims are questioned they claim their beliefs are being persecuted. If a person can properly defend their beliefs in the face of skeptical inquiry, they have my respect.

Folks always ask "why are we here?" or "what is the meaning of life?", yet are 'why' and 'what' and other questions only concepts which exsist in the human experience. Maybe we need to see beyind our humanisms and accept that 'it just is'.
