I'm posting a friends tattoo on here since I can't make fun of it to their face

Anybody else unable to ever comment on a tattoo somebody gets because they're all laughable? I've got two favorite classic tattoos: 1) The pretty picture of a flower or a bird. Means absolutely nothing and you will bore of it quickly

2) Some inspirational quote where you just know they're going to regret the quote choice about a month from now.

Let me write out for you the tattoo a friend of mine just got, it inspired this post by being so silly.

Okay, so theses are big letters, this thing takes up most of her once beautiful back. (a really pretty girl, even did a little modeling)

"Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect, and I don't live to be, but before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean."

Like really? That's a bad facebook post, and she has that shit permanently etched into her back. :rofldrunk: Such big letters too.

me neither. Back when I first came of age I was considering a NIN logo or an amon tobin butterfly...just seems like no matter what you choose you'll regret it later.

The only quote I could see being useful to have on your body is "are you dreaming?" or "what would siddhartha do"

I guess I'm not one to talk though. I have "UNFUCK THE WORLD" going down the bottom of my arm in basic bold letters. I've never once regretted having it but other people think it's stupid :guiltyascharged: and some people think it's as awesome as I do.

Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series
How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs)
What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain)
Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary)
Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful)
Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Just be glad she got it on her back. She won't have to see it and be constantly reminded about what a bad move that was - you can't look at your back tats without at least 2 mirrors.

I left mine half finished for this reason. It seems pointless to me to spend any more money on something I can't see. My tats are reminders!!


She might stump up to get it removed if a few people express your sentiments to her though. I agree, sounds just like facebook trash. Removal is pretty effective and available these days, as long as she didn't do it in colour - those are harder to come out.

Good friends call you out on silly decisions and boost you on good ones. I would stake my reputation on the fact that the tat described in OP will be regretted at some point.

Good against evil. All my tats have an underlying theme regarding how black and white I tend to see the world. Through maturity I know that it isn't really that way at all, but I lived with that outlook for a long time and it very much resonates with me still.

10/10 would read again; tattoo needs be a handpoke adapted from your original version done by pen on a napkin at a bar tho, and not from any bourgeois shop

Hmm, good thinking.  I will probably try to make it a theme and though I have no experience tattooing it is probably safest to do it myself so that I can make sure it is done right :sadyes: I'm already thinking ahead to my second tattoo right above my buttcrack which will read "This is my second tattoo, it has a deep personal significance"

Gonna be hard to stick n poke myself in that spot, but I think it will probably turn out ok.
