Well, perlite and vermiculite may be everywhere in the USA, but in Europe they just aren't used for gardening. You can only find them by the shitload from building companies, that are reluctant to sell only a bag at a time. I had to get mine from an 'official' mushroom cultivation lab (edibles and such), which isn't something you find in every village or town.

I know where to find perlite.. but it?s a little far away from my town, so i?m not in the mood to travel just to buy it if i can have decent results using an aquarium pump and some expanded argile...
btw... has anyone ever used the pump and the aquarium heater, simultaneous, to create humidity (as in the MMGG). did u had nice results? have u got any tips you would like to share?
