The older I get the more I grow tired of hang ups about nudity. Honestly, the only reason I'm not naked around people is to protect their eyes from the horror (and obviously so they wouldn't call the cops or something lol). Shame in nudity is ridiculous, unless of course you have something to cover up, like someone going thru chemo wearing a headwrap or someone with disfiguring burns always wearing gloves, etc.

I hate fashion. I honestly believe I would feel as confident overall if I was buck naked as I am in stupid ass clothes. I look in the mirror and I'm like "Welp, I'm not naked. Other than that idk wtf I'm looking at here." :lol:


And I'm not one of those dudes whos like "Heh, I just wanna see like naked chicks brah." I really believe that after the initial shock, seeing naked hideous, fat old women would affect you just as it does now with her clothes on, as would seeing naked hot chicks compared to clothed hot chicks.





So this is where I go off the deep end with this. I believe clothing is actually incidentally responsible for many of the ills of the world. I mean, look at the percentage of consumerism the revolves around fashion and clothing. Do people realize that the textile industry is responsible for something like a quarter of all water pollution? Or that 3/4 of the clothing people donate to Goodwill and Salvation Army end up being shipped to Africa to be sold to cheaply to the poverty-stricken there, then when even THOSE clothes won't move, they basically just put it in a dump.

Random fashion hatred aside, I also think issues of class, culture, religion, and socioeconomic status would be far less divided if it weren't for clothing. Sure it may help you define yourself in society, but isnt that exactly the problem? By defining yourself within society, you are inherently saying "I am this, you are that, we aren't alike." If you couldn't tell if someone was a dork, a jock, a rich kid, a poor kid, etc, just from looking at them, who knows what kind of interesting people you might meet?

I know from this website alone I've talked to people who, by looking at them, appear to be someone I would have absolutely nothing in common with, but thanks to the anonymity of the internet, I got to know them without that superficial knowledge ahead of time.

Who knows what kind of people you'd be friends with if all you had to go on to judge them was a limp dick (presumably not gay), an eyebrow piercing (a little alternative, maybe), and a little flab (doesn't spend a lot of time in the gym but otherwise who knows?).

Oh, sidenote. I realize that, in theory, uniforms achieve many of the things I've just mentioned, but I think nudity takes it that extra step beyond that makes it totally different. For instance, a uniform says something. Like, I am one of "them," or I am conforming, or w/e. But nudity doesn't 'say' anything, it just is

Interesting spin on things. I would be fine with it in the summer time. It gets too cold here in the winter though, so that time would be out of the question. Unfortunately, fashion would creep in during the winter. Although it would be cool if people just wrapped up in blankets or animal skins. :shrug:

Yeah the world has really changed. It's always cool to see documentaries of "lost" tribes deep in the Amazon or where ever that live their lives pretty much naked but their weather also kind of allows that. I would love to walk around nude cause you know, I'm sexy as fuck, but what sucks is our culture. I can't go outside naked without some creepy ass dude starin me down, gettin a boner, or wanting to drag me into a dark alley.

I've been a lot of places where nudity is norm, and I enjoy the freedom and feeling of it in general - but if there's more than 15 people there's almost always some old fuck that shows up just to perv on ladies... it's unfortunate but it's the way it ends up being a lot in practice. Likely over time this would diminish but it makes a lot of people uncomfortable in that transitional state.

eh, i enjoy sleeping nude. but sitting in a chair nude is really uncomfortable for me unless its like a bean bag or something along those lines
