Old-school MTV or VH1 fans... need your help ID'ing a show that was on 15+ years ago?

It was one of those shows where viewers submit home videos of themselves proclaiming to be the biggest fans of whatever artist or music band, and the TV show (which was on VH1 or MTV) would orchestrate a meet-up between the fan and the artist that they loved.

I forget what the show is called, but I'm looking for this one particular episode where this obviously flamboyantly gay black guy claims to be Christina Aguilera's biggest fan, and his home video is of him wearing a pink genie outfit standing on a rooftop and singing and dancing (badly) "I'm a genie in a bottle" :lolsy:

I really want to find that episode, if anybody could direct me I'd appreciate it thanks

Complete side note.. when I detox off alcohol, I see images..when I close my eyes..random stuff, all kinds of images...  but it looks just like this..


That's exactly how it presents itself I wonder if whoever came up with that image knows what I'm talking about..

I remember pop up video and I love the 90's etc
MTV didn't start showing video's again until mtv2

I wonder what it would look like if MTV brought back that show AMP.  The one that played dance music videos.  I used to watch that show because it was a good place to see videos for electronic music in the days way before YouTube.  I think that's where I first heard of Daft Punk, even.  Now that electronic music is a multi-billion dollar industry, I bet the show would be on a bit before 3 AM.  Probably would be hosted by some opportunistic clinger-on like Madonna, while she talks about rolling her velociraptor tits off on "molly".

Wow!  I've been thinking the same thing ever since i saw that sig and was going to comment on it prior, but did'nt want to derail.  That really is dead on.  Different shades ov grey, off-white, and black.  Very fast and constant motion everywhere.  Those buildings on the right and the layered rays/tubes that shoot out are particularly memorable.  And it's always there when you close your eyes, as if it never stops on the inside once you open them.  The only thing i've thought to compare in form to alc w/d visuals are muscaria CEVs, but they're contrarily very slow paced.  If the person who did that has'nt experienced the dry storm, he's psychic and tapping into someone who has.

You beat me to it ... I remember when MTV first came on cable TV and there was only actually "13 channels of shit on"!  I actually stopped watching MTV when they started with all the 'shows' and VH1 started up.  I also had a 500W per channel stereo at the time though so who really watched TV when you could listen to the stereo from a few blocks away!  :smile:
