Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight
    #22759267 -

Just seen it earlier today, I thought it was amazing.  Might see it again it was better than Django I thought.

I heard it was just more of the same, Tarantino capitalizing on the fact that playing up blaxploitation and anti-white violence is really popular right now.

"The dialogue was great"

that's the line everyone I hear who has anything positive to say keeps mimicking.

yeah, in between the scenes of Samuel L Jackson forcing people to give him oral sex and all the pointless blood and gore?

I'll pass

at first i thought sure it could happen, but then my gf told me it seemed very made up because he knew that would be the best way to get under his skin.

guys a huge racist and told them he was there to bury his son, giving warren the perfect chance to fuck with him.

i watched hateful 8 and revanent  with a day or so between and hateful 8 was much better imo.

revenant was boring and slow with not much going on where hateful 8 had many things going on at once.

saw hateful 8 today. revenant is in a whole other genre though. hateful8 was like a cool stage play, and yes it was mainly because of good dialogue. people in a small room for about 3 hours, you need a skill to entertain the public. kinda reminded me of reservoir dogs.

I thought it was ok.  Would have been much better if they edited down to an hour and a half.  The acting was good, I thought the storyline was weak which is why it should have been shorter.  Not bad, but not comparable to his early work.

of course you will. film is a visual medium. not a "blow morrow's mind" medium.

so you'll need to dig deeper into some philosophical and axiomatic concepts. maybe start a lab? make a film about studying film.

(lol, c'mon this isn't boiling your beaker?)

Revenant 9/10

I shut the Hateful 8 off when they got to the cabin. Err...30 minutes after they arrived to the cabin..God his movies are long and slow-paced. I heard it gets better from there so I'll probably finish one day.

Kodi is awesome, they had Revenant several weeks ago.

I enjoy lots of movies that don't "blow my mind". I just don't think it's a good idea to encourage anti-white sentiments among blacks and white-guilt sentiments among whites at this point in time, and from what I hear about the movie, that's what it does.

I thought it was pretty good for what it was. Not Tarantino's best work but I liked it.
I went into it with zero knowledge or expectations about it other than it was shot on 70mm
I didn't know what to expect, I was pretty pleasantly surprised.

Why don't you just watch the movie instead of casting preconceived notions about it or listening to what others say
I don't think it encouraged that sentiment at all...then again I'm not an overly PC libtard.. I don't want to spoil the ending

Jesus, Morrow...well, i guess you've got the right idea in mind, i suppose. i'd tend to agree with Shroomism on the "why not" notion here...but i suppose if it's a moral issue. one doesn't have to see the film.

i hear it's pretty damn well directed, cast, staged, shot, acted, written...pretty much everything down to the cinematography (with the wide angle 70mm shots) is top notch. :cookiemonster:
