Did a pure copper wrap on a piece of higher end green tourmaline today. From himmalayan mines, CA featuring a pinacoidal termination. After the wrap was finished I used a liver of sulfur patina concoction and oxidized the piece. Accented with gold. What do you guys think?

Before I say this, I should say this is personal preference only, do not take this to heart. You are obviously very good and your sense of mixing symmetry with randomness is pretty phenomenal

I think you try a little too hard to make it look "complicated" for lack of a better word. I think the wrapping looks impressive enough without adding all kinds of little do-dads, one-offs, and weird twists. For instance, those three fat silvery loops towards the bottom? You only needed the far right bottom loop, and even then only to create some symmetry with that top left fat silvery loop. And the gold accent looks cool as shit, but again, it has a bit too much randomness for me. It looks sort of slapped on at the end

I kinda like it better before the oxidation:lol: its shinier :shrug:

I have always wanted to get into wrapping but never know where to start. I suppose i could just go to the craft store and drop 40$ on a bunch of gold/silver wire and give it a go on some of the amethyst I have around here

Have you been making these in real time? Cause if so thats damn impressive, you're quite prolific. With that level of speed and skill you should look into head shops and hippie stores to sell them in bulk, just bring in a sack of them and be like "I'll give these to you at $45 a piece, theres 20 pieces here, I figure you can sell them for $65-$75, so you give me $900 and you'll walk away with $1400. They sell well I'll keep you stocked up"

Tryin to do it one piece at a time is gonna be a drag with how fast you can pump them out
