Best soundtracks
    #22650551 -

I haven't actually listened to this one yet as I have not seen it for cheap online and I won't pay 30$ for a CD...

Some anime have great soundtracks though and Space Dandy was pretty all around great, plus the album cover and name are just ridiculous :tongue2:

Here is a beautiful solo acoustic guitar track from the Bleach soundtrack:

--------------------
Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky

You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by

I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me

I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

I love the soundtrack to Boogie Nights - very nostalgic for someone of my generation (in my 40s), and so well selected and used.

In fact the movie itself is surely in my personal all-time top 10.

The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is one of my favorites especially as far as anime goes

Another I like is The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Great collab score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis

Cowboy Bebop is definitely a great one, I tend to appreciate most jazzy soundtracks and a lot of good anime use them :stoned:

Can't say I have heard of the others besides the lion king, and I have not watched that in years.

I'm more into movie scores than the soundtrack, but I also really liked the soundtrack to the movie Natural Born Killers.

OP, you ever watch anything that isn't anime?  All the threads you make are anime related.  "best movie villian", "best movie lines" "favorite tv series", etc.

. . .

I like NBK soundtack a lot too; I've got that around here somewhere. I love the scene in the cafe when the chick kicks the living shit of the other patrons to the tune Shit List by L7.

Eternal Sunshine has a great soundtrack - Jon Brion is a wonderful composer and musician, and the other music they use in the movie is great too.

man, I remember being like 18 and showing my boyfriend at the time this film at his parents house. They weren't watching it with us or anything, but they were in the house..and his mom kind of stopped liking me pretty suddenly after walking into the room a few times during that movie.

Such a great movie. I don't really show it to people anymore though

edit:

if we're going to talk anime - I don't really watch it, but I thought the soundtrack to Final Fantasy IX was beautiful.

This is a good call. One Brion song that still stands out to me from that film (don't ask me why because I have no idea why) was when he's leaving and Clem leans out of her window and tells him to "wish me a happy valentines day when you call".

Great film. I got it on permanent DVR lock down. Saw it a couple of times tripping too.

I know the exact song you're talking about - it's beautiful :sun:. I love that film. Seems like a good one to watch while tripping, but I never have - I usually watch it once every few years because it makes me all sad and stuff

it's this song right?

Leaving Las Vegas. Sting and Henley.

Have you ever had the feeling, that the world has left you behind? Have you ever had the feeling, that you are close to losing your mind?

You look around each corner, hoping that she's there. You try to play the fool perhaps, pretend that you don't care.
