Actually, for the past 4 or 5 years I've been in relationships for valentines day. It's quite nice not to have to shell out a bunch of money on stupid shit like flowers and jewelry. I think from now on I'm going to break up with who ever I'm with on February 12th and get back with them on the 16th.

Where I come from originally people didn't really used to celebrate 14th Feb as Valentine's day up until a few years back but would rather celebrate their traditional drinking holiday (read who-can-drink-the-most-wine).

I'm single and this year is the first year i've actually considered doing anything for valentines day. Got a 5$ box of chocolates for a friend of mine and another for her roommate. She was so happy for literally no reason lol, I put in such little effort and got a positive reaction out of her.

My wife and I don't really celebrate Valentines day. She told me this a long time ago...
