Definitely happier.  The past few years of struggling to make ends meet while I worked on finishing my programs at school are now paying off in spades.  The future is looking better than ever.

Much happier.  I've always floated through life letting my luck take care of me, sometimes it worked out, sometimes not.  It never felt like I earned anything I received, good or bad.  There was never a direction or any goal's, minor or otherwise.  I had some bad ideas about how things were and what my place among them was.  I avoided love and invited misery and hurt myself and others, and I used to think it was someone else's fault.

Now I have something in my life that I know I have earned, through a truck load of hard work and dedication, and it takes everything I've got to keep it alive.  Then there's the love of a very good woman, who I love very much, which I have never really honestly felt before.  All the love given to me in the past, I have never been able to return, I've never cared for anyone like I do for this woman.  I have interests now compared to then that are worthwhile and meaningful, that have endowed me with skills I never thought I could master.  I don't focus on the wackness, I focus on the dopeness, and I don't let this bummer of a society get me down.  I have learned to tolerate and even enjoy people, which I thought for me was impossible.

I quit eating shitty processed food and excessive sugar, quit tobacco, alcohol and cut cannabis down to a special event drug.  Threw away the TV, threw away the cell phone, sold the video games, kicked out all the psychic vampires and other unworthy people in my life, and now for the first time..... I have the energy to do whatever I want.

This is the best I've ever felt, I wouldn't go back for any reason.

That question is hard to answer. I can't really find any period of time that was happier then my childhood/teen years. I had such a good ass time. My prime years were like 12-18. That kind of made my answer less happy but I'm not, not happy. STAL

Less happy. The only time I can think of where I was less happy than I am right now is about 4 years ago when I was 16.

Ever since my girlfriend came into my life I'd have to say I'm about 100% happier then I was in August and for the past 6/years. In fact I was a broken man, recovering from opiate addiction and just experiencing my first super close death in the family. Ever since I've been with her,not only do I not miss opiates but I know for a fact now that she's much more intoxicating and euphoric then any drug on this earth. I've never been in love truly and I think I am now. I didn't realize I could have this much optimism about life,I can see her life steadily getting happier too which is awesome. She was the one part of my life I was missing.

If getting older and wiser is good, why do I see so many elderly people that are miserable?

Some people just don't age gracefully, I guess. I hope that the decisions I have made with regard to holistic health will keep me joyful, vibrant and loving up until the end.

My Nana and her older sister live together, they're 84 and almost 90 respectively. They're both active, cheerful, nice and happy old ladies. I hope I end up like that.

this times a million. Yoga and meditation have taught me so much. If I learned this shit as a 5 year old, I would prolly be the wisest on the playground. Giving sermons on the tan bark and shit

Totally! I actually got my kid's yoga teacher training for this reason.  :aum:

fuck! I definately believe that you are raising your kid right. Even if people look at you wierd, fuck em. That kid doesn't even know the knowledge that will be dropped

I am working on that myself...where to find a girl who sees the world the way I do?

Thanks for quoting me. He has me on block so he can't see the hilarious things I write about him until I am quoted.

I'm happier than I was 5 years ago. I was very happy ten years ago when I was 16 as I had just discovered drugs and I was having a blast with them and they weren't causing many problems in my life yet. I think I am happier now than I was at age 11, but it's hard to say. Life is just so qualitatively different for an 11 year old and a 26 year old.

Right. It's so hard to compare working all fucking day to running around with no worries and only worrying about decking out your myspace profile.

It gets better. Just focus on bettering yourself and youll end up at the end of a good path.

I am happier every day of my life. Cant remember the last time I felt depressed, and am going through some pretty rough shit right now. I refuse to die without a big ass smile on my face, and have few reasons not to.

Hell ya.  Just bought a Benz, got a great girl, a dog.  A good career and building up some savings.  5 years ago I was nearly homeless and flat broke.  I'm living proof that it's totally possible to turn your life around.  At one point I thought I could never "make it" and now I'm nearly there...
