Are you happier today than you were 5-10-15 years ago?
    #22612390 -

Pretty straight forward question, yet very important. Society has changed a lot on too many aspects to list. With change comes, well, change...

Did that chnge improve the happiness of humans?

What about you?
Relative to your age, are you happier than you are now then when you were half your age?
You may choose only one

I'm happier. Life gets harder as you gain more responsibility, but you gain so much perspective from aging that everything becomes easier to deal with. Also, meeting the love of my life helped.

I understand your goal with posting this thread. But you aren't really going to get insight into that issue with this survey. The main issue being that although society has changed, so have we. We become older and get access to more ideas, books, people, drugs, etc.

The month that I started yoga and meditation daily my whole life changed. Its hard to say that I attribute my greater happiness today to the ownership of my iphone, and social media. More of it is probably cutting out toxic people, lifting, yoga, diet, sleep, meditation, reading new ideas, making better friends, having sex and developing connections with more women etc.

I smoke less weed, and do more GHB and psyches. Theres too many factors really

More happy by a landslide.

The main reason is because I have learned how to change my thoughts (from fearful thoughts to loving thoughts) through meditation, prayer, yoga, exercise. As a result my entire life has become more full of love and joy; plus it's easier to recover from stressful situations when they arise.

Getting older and wiser, FTW!

10 years ago i just finished highschool, had legal issues, money issues, and was dealing with coming out.

things are much more chill now, even when i get down it is more apathy then sadness. are yoga says, older and wiser, learning when to go with the flow and when to call the shots.

If getting older and wiser is good, why do I see so many elderly people that are miserable?

Have you ever encountered one of your bullying victims as an adult? What did you do?

this times a million. Yoga and meditation have taught me so much. If I learned this shit as a 5 year old, I would prolly be the wisest on the playground. Giving sermons on the tan bark and shit

Some people just don't age gracefully, I guess. I hope that the decisions I have made with regard to holistic health will keep me joyful, vibrant and loving up until the end.

My Nana and her older sister live together, they're 84 and almost 90 respectively. They're both active, cheerful, nice and happy old ladies. I hope I end up like that.

Totally! I actually got my kid's yoga teacher training for this reason.  :aum:
