San Pedro from seed?

hey guys, was wondering if there is any little trick to seeding the cacti. Right ow I have them in a glass bowl,in my kitchen, and cactus dirt with extra fine, clean , steralized black sand.
How many time should one water/mist per week? Should I have them in the dark? Should I have them in a plant dome?

I know, just wondering if I was on the right track. I think I need to put them under glass, and in with my hps. i don't thinkk I have been watering them enuff. I don't want it humid in there though. Just right, Any idea on constant soil mositure for cacti?
All I'm looking for is reassurance.

keep it moist, not soaked. use the dome/tent but have some air flow!

5 - 6 years .. no way.
It can grow alot faster, your talking about peyote . . should be able to even get peyote to grow within 6 months to a year if grafted well :smile:

From seed to a respectable 12inch by 2+inch dose of flesh at least 2 years in age! In my experience this will take at least 5 years from seed.
i agree with you on the peyote graft but the seedling stage is soo slow for san pedro and peyote. Once the plant is established it will grow up to 6-12 inches per year. This is why 99% of these cacti on sale are cuttings not seed plants.

Nemasis, what do you find is the best grafting stock for peyote?
