Shrooms growing crazy ? All different directions. WTF!

My cakes are doing ok but they are growing all over the place. Some are even growing straight down...this is a bad thing!!!
Is it my lighting or someting else and is it to late to retrain these guys? My set up is this... Rubbermaid chamber with semi clear sides and clear plexiglass lid.
1 - 18" floresant grow light a foot above the chamber and off to the side ( not directly above it )
Any help would be worth a try...im sure my yeild will be reduced if not corected.

it's not really a problem and won't reduce yields, light is probably just getting throught the sides of the teranium, if you want to stop it you can tape up the walls of you teranium so light only comes through the top but it's not worth the effort imo, also the ones growing towards the perlite are just because of light reflecting towards it, with geolite that don't happen as much since it's not white but still no big deal, never hurts to get geolite though then you don't have to fuck with messy ass perlite all the time

Good deal, ill just have to raise them up i guess..ill sit it on jars or something. cant get big if they grow into the perlite. But thanks for the info...i wont worrie. I just see pics of nice cakes with nice tall straight up fruits and waondered why mine are growing like they are...but hey still looks damn good to me :smile: I wasnt complaining by any means.

I had the sam trouble with mi first grow. I was using a semi-transparent container w/perlite. They grew all over the place. I now am fruiting in a dark contaioner and they only grow straight up now.
