I was certainly generalizing, but I never got the impression that Ohio was dope ridden.

I'd say Philly and Baltimore are the worst cities for drugs in the northeast atm.

I've tapered down on subs a lot since I was here. When I first got here I was at 2mg twice a day. Now I'm cutting them into sixteenths. Taking 0.125mg twice a day now.

I was going to ask you this, good thing I went back and actually read this thread first. That's awesome, you're my role model Crystal G :emotionalmoment:

:emotionalmoment:

I want to be just like you.

I have to cut back now that my doctor kicked me off for apparently not taking suboxone, or not metabolizing it into noreburenorphine, or something. Total bullshit. Getting under 2mg has been tough for me tho. .25/day is nothing.

Liberia has terrible, terrible problems with drugs that are three thousand leagues from any place in the west - not to mention all the other shit. I'm glad that the ebola outbreak is virtually over, because I can't even fathom what it was like living in a place like Monrovia then. The very definition of hell.

Here's a pretty interesting vice documentary one the state of things before ebola ravaged the place even more.

There's an American women running a school for girls in west point Monrovia that I followed closely during the ebola outbreak, I'm not religious, but the lady is a saint.

Philly's a lot of fun. Everyone calls it the poor man's NYC, and frankly, they're right, and it's awesome because you get all the amenities of living in a big city like vibrancy and walkability, and it's got the third largest downtown in the US behind Chicago, but it's actually liveable. You can live in a city where you don't even need a car to get around and afford to actually buy a house and there's a lot of really beautiful historic rowhomes and Victorian houses, as well as a large amount of high rise apartments. I lived in an absolutely massive Victorian house in for 500 bucks a month in a really diverse vibrant neighborhood, I had a bunch of other roommates and everyone could be home and you would have no clue if we were in our rooms, but it still had a homey feel.

But yes, compared to Boston and NYC, Philly is way grittier and has more crime. Idk how DC stacks up exactly, I know they have their issues and it's a fantastic city but it's got a very cutthroat type-A vibe compared to Philly, which feels more like Brooklyn. People forget that we're the second largest city on the east coast and actually have really nice areas too, the only people I encounter who think it's a total shithole are people who haven't been here in the last two decades or at all.

Of course, I'll be the first to admit that it's also a HUGE clusterfuck that's got a lot of grit that coexists with the cosmopolitan side, and I can totally see why someone would prefer to live elsewhere in the northeast - I totally underestimated how much I would like it and thought it was a total shithole too before I actually came here, but I can't see myself living in any other Bos-Wash city and enjoying it as much even though they are all great in their own way - if I had to pick any other city to live in it would be Seattle.

Honestly, I think you're probably a very smart, capable person and that most of the risks you take are probably more calculated than people think aside from those hiccups you speak of.

I also think that people think you're either oblivious or bragging when you make threads like this, but I don't get that sort of vibe myself, though I can see how others do.

I kind of relish absurd wtf moments of life - sometimes you have these really extreme and scary experiences but they're so surreal and weirdly beautiful because life can seem so goddamn mundane at times.

And honestly, if I had an experience that crazy and interesting, I'd want to talk about it too, and I imagine that a forum about drugs is definitely one of the better places to do so.

Crystal G, I hope you don't get all tweaked out about getting mugged. It happens. It could have been much worse. I know after I got mugged I was glad they didn't kill me, and I got paranoid and bought a gun and carried it around for a while.

I can confirm, theres a lot of heroin in PA in general.
Actually, you can find copious amounts of just about any drug in any city of Pennsylvania. Meth seems to be the hardest one to come by, oddly.

Ohio is pretty beat save for some hot spots, cause it's whitebread and dull as all hell. New York is pretty littered with drugs if you know which cities to hit, and that's about all I can speak to.

If you can't find action in Ohio then you aint a part of it son. I never go bored for one minute here.

I live right in the middle of it in Ohio, so all I hear on the scanner is heroin overdoses night to day 24/7. There isn't anywhere that isn't heavily affected by heroin that I know about around here.

PCP is a novelty these days though. I never hear it about anymore.

Thank God she didn't have a car because I bet you $100 she would've tried to drive

If I had a car, I would have driven to my roommate's place which is like 2 miles away, and THEN smoked the dippers. That was my original plan, was to hail a cab back to my roommate's place and then smoke the dippers at his place. But so much time passed and I couldn't find a cab at all, so I just ended up smoking the dippers there.

Why not just walk there when you couldn't get a cab?

Ok I'm getting off my high horse, get your shit straight.

Edit: you've always made it clear that you truly don't give a rats ass how risky you are and what others perceive of you. If that makes you happy, by all means continue.
