yea, the PF tek is probably the best place to start. that, and the Magic Mushroom Growers Guide (MMGG). it's very similar.

Yes the PF tek does work but a friend found that 60 cc's of water just isnt enough.70 or even 75 cc's seems to produce much better fruiting assuming you let them go for another week to a week in a half or so after you "think" they are fully colonized. When they shrink up a few inches on the sides and bottoms of the jars and there is quite a bit of condensation forming on the sides of the jars only then is it the proper time to birth the little guys into a highly humidified peralite terrerium.Forget the high tech humidifiers ,they are more trouble than they are worth in my opinion.Just put a couple of inches of peralite in the bottom and put enough water in to cover the lower 1 inch of peralite and keep it airtight and provide good air exchange twice a day.My friend has found they grow better with peralite than with the spraying step the PF tek calls for.If you follow these simple guidelines along with the rest of the tek you will suceed I hope this info helps you.Peace and harmony oh enlightened one.

I wouldn't change the recipe first time... try a few at 45-50cc of water and a few at 60cc to see for yourself what works best with your growing style... 75cc's? that doesn't slow growth? sounds like alot to me...
