which tek... PF tek which has different measurements saying 1/2 cup verm in 1/2 pint jars or the MMGG tek which says 2/3 verm in 1/2 pint jars... which tek overall should be followed for a first time... the PF tek also says to pack down the stuff once you put it in the jar, the MMGG says to not so do i just follow the measurements from PF and just not pack down or what??

Well I never get it exactly right. I just use the ratios and mix it Normally I'm either a tad short or a tad over. But WFT it's cheap make a lttle more (same ratio's) or chuck spare away.
Don't pack it down - just spoon it in and give 1 gental tap onto a solis surface - you want it nice and fluffy not a solid mass (otherwise it will take longer to colonise).

My friend recently followed the PF Tek Formula and vaired water contents ( Grow Log ) He had the best success with the following formula:
1/2 cup Verm 1/4 cup BRF 1/4 cup Water (60 cc)
Good Luck!

I have to say, that out of all ratio's, the ones with the MORE BRF work the best.

Either one will do fine. Ive had the best luck with the MMGG formula, but I always stray from it a little. Once you know what the substrate is supposed to look like, its relatively easy to tweak it a little to get the desired results.

I'm new (I think alot of people are with the advent of this site, i wouldn't have taken it up otherwise), and am using the PF Tek, 1/2 c verm, 1/4 c br rice flo, and 1/4 c (60 cc) mineral water. Things are going well, possible contam in a couple although very possibly not too, so I'd certainly recommend it. I think being very anal about things being clean and disinfected is essential over either tek.

the difference between the two is minimal at best imho. do it until you find one that you like.
