Love that book! I want to discuss more abut it, but I would hate to spoil it.

You should read Desolation Angels afterward. It takes place right after and is incredible. Not as talked about or acclaimed as On The Road or Dharma Bums , but it gives you a whole different look into Kerouac's life.

I feel like I'm going to read this very quick so we can discuss soon! I just feel that it would be so amazing to be a traveling writer. What's desolation angels about?

It's about his thoughts, feelings, and experiences after the Matterhorn. Touches more on his own thoughts and spiritual struggles, rather than what he lives vicariously through his friends like Neal Cassidy or Gary Snyder.

You would really like it!

I'd read them in the order of On The Road, And The Hippos Boiled In Their Tanks, Dharma Bums, Desolation Angels.

Love beat literature; the only books I can really say changed my life lol
