More socially awkward people because of vr social interactions (vr Facebook). Hopefully that will mean increasingly less crowds in the real world.

The article doesn't mention anything about fossil fuels or climate change. I think our addiction to fossil fuels will become a real problem soon. Maybe not in 10 years but probably within 50. Once fossil fuels are prohibitively expensive, things like commerce, electricity in homes and travel will only be available to the elite. It has the potential to spin us all off into oblivion.
