Where to go in Toronto?

Hello,

The Family is headed to Toronto, Ontario Canada!

Recommendations to hip activities & restuarants and Clubs are welcome. We are heading out on the 26th, already made plans to ski Blue Mountain. Thank all in advance, and will report once we make our way back home.

sorry but i couldn't resist actually being allowed to say that to someone in the pub without a public execution :grin: truth is D3WD, i live in toronto but i am probably the least qualified person to respond to you and your question as i don't really go out all that much....i'm sure the fine folks of this community that live in toronto and are much better versed in socializing and associated etiquette than i will be able to help you out, take care man and have a GR8 time while you're here :wink:

Yonge St between Bloor and, well, south and Queen st west of yonge.
Queen st for nightime fun.

it really depends on what you wanna do and see man, and what you like as well, also if you are staying right in Toronto or not. For clubs King st and Richmond st have lots of clubs. Theres a neat little jazz club on Queen west. For food....again depends on what kind of food you like theres alot of nice restraunts on king west of young. If your looking for like hardcore tourist stuff to do you want to check out the CN Tower, it a bit expensive tho, theres alot to do man....depends what you like really. lemme know if you want better suggestions.

I go to university in Toronto, and I fucking hate the city, though I'm sure New York smells worse. Honestly man, it's a city like any other big city,  lots of shopping (the Eaton Centre), u got the CN Tower (definately go, it will be worth it) and there are lots of restaurants, pubs, and strip clubs. Enjoy your visit  :thumbup:

Restaurant wise, i'm looking for a cool setting with music possibly, something in the terms of Jack Rabbit Slims, from 'Pulp Fiction', a place where the mood is hip. Also i'm interested in a club with a pscycadelic theme, a nice groovey joint with good music and good people.

go to my old house!! yes the one i lived in from when i was 3 years old to 5 years old.

but seriously.... go to sam the record man on yonge street. i dont konw specifics on where it is but its the best/coolest music store you will ever go to. actually i dont know if i can say its the coolest but when i was visiting toronto years after i lived there with my family, my dad was telling me how its a really cool store and i had to agree. even though i only spent 30 minutes there and pretty bad tastes in music back then. then again, i did buy a jimi hendrix cd so they couldn't have been that bad!

My friend I am the man you need to talk to and people in montreal are arrogant and mean as you can see.. Were much nicer here.. Yeah you frenchie!! I just got back from Montreal and don't know how many wanker's I ran into like you.. You people need to learn some bloody manner's.. P.S. Montreal's not the centre of the universe..
It depends on what your into and when your here.. I have friends who throw really underground psychedelic partie's which you probaly won't experience any where else..
