The past no longer exists. At least in this reality set-up, present action only branches out and carries on with the flow of the future. Peace.

you can try all you want, but you can't unpost your question. You Can however, remedy the past, correctify your mistakes

The past is only a blurry, incomplete memory being experienced in the present.
Peace.

Really? My past is crystal clear and 100% complete. It is possible to remember everything.
I can't site the case study, but there was a remarkably intelligent person who had total recall of everything he read. If you asked him what day of the week april 23, 1974 was on, he could tell you.
Upon study of his brain, it was discovered that he had no separation between the hemispheres of his brain. It was theorized that people forget things when information shifts hemispheres. During sleep, the brain is flooded with electrical impulses, which allows the brain to flush away impertinent information.

Maybe past and future seem nonexistent to us because we only live in the now. But pop a few cubensis and you might experience the full potential of time.

Well, actually, since I changed my sig I realized that it changes on all my posts. Present, future, and past. So I wonder if there is anything else like that too. Like I do something good today and then things I did yesterday that were neither good nor bad but just gray all of a sudden also become more good. That's abstract but I guess it gets the gist across.

I believe that effect is because signatures are dynamic variables when these pages are generated. The past is pretty damn static.
If you would like to verify this, cut your left hand off and then look at old pictures of yourself. If your hand is visible, you have confirmation.
DOn't really cut your hand off, just take my word for it.

In my own experience, when one "awakens" to Nirvana or"discovers" their own true nature, it's like waking up from a regular dream, the dreamer realizes thatit was all a dream and that there never really "was" any past.....anything the person THOUGHT had transpired was merely an illusion.......that's just me though

What I learned from Swami is that this is easily disproved when you consider "consensus reality" of the past. As it's been said on these forums before, if time is an illusion and there is no past, explain things like death, birth, growth and decay.

Hello friend, i don't pretend to be able to "explain" anything, certainly all that the senses can empirically validate and observe in time does come to pass, what if there were(and IS in my own experience) a sub(perhaps supra would be the more correct word) strata and totally independent feature of the human psyche that transcends the physical realities of what may be percieved objectively? PLs don't take this as me questioning your own perceptions or beliefs.....not meant that way at all.........

But the dynamic webpages are in fact a really tiny fraction of life itself where one can in fact do something presently (change sig) which changes the past (archive of posts). And so as such one is changing the past, so maybe there is some other dynamic aspect of life where the present can actually ripple back and change the past.

I can explain this simply.
The archives of posts are not past. The information might come from the past, but it's changable. When you change it, it becomes present.....it was modified in the present.
Certainly the King James version of bible is different than the one 1 thousand years ago. Does that mean the past is changed? No - just what the past has been recorded on.

As I understand it, the cells that make up our body regenerate every seven years. Not all at once, but, you don't have cells that you had when you were a child. You could interpret this such that you are a different person now then you were seven years ago, meaning we are all dynamic.

Well rather than seeing time as an event I would rather choose it se it as a place, so past present and future all existe at once. So saying the past or future dosent exist could be like saying that dosent mars exists just because you cant get to it or actualy perciev it from here. But these ideas also mean there is no such thing as free will.
