PRESENT is really interesting...
It is so many things at the same time.
It refers to the "true moment"... NOW !
It signals your position to someone- for example: When a teacher calls your name, and you call out "present"...
It is also... a Gift 
And... with a change in intonnation... those letters arranged in that manner mean the following as well: [To] Present! (synonymous to a presentation)
Would you like to know what is funny?
I'll tell you.
Since you are not trully following the first point I put forth, as a consequence, the other three elude you.
HUH !!!????
Here's the illusion...
You believe that you are in the present... when in fact... the present is just in front of you. I'm telling you... it's right there in front; but you are not paying attention... you are too busy mistaking the past for YOUR relative now.
You don't believe me? I'm not surprised. You've been thinking the same way ever since you were born.. Ha hah ha ha ha... You've been filling your mind ( originally, the void ) with false information... Well... Perhaps, as an infant, you knew what was going on... but as soon as the "adults" todl you how to think, the Brainwashing began... And the beautiful things in life began to get farther from your reach.
The wonderful thing is, I refused to believe the adults and their "truth"... Now I will "show" you something...
Wanna see it? It's ready...
I'll fill you in starting from your vantage point... cause that is where YOU are... and we'll take it from there. Sounds reasonable?
Ok... here we go...
Your mind, your present reality... What happens is the following... Let's use the following, as an example- A DEMOLITION DERBY.
OOOOHHHHHHHHHH... AAAaaahhhhhh !!!!
Those are fun! 
The cars CRASH !!! into each other! Light bounces off of them and waves get thrust ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! Both travel... The light, since it is faster, enters your eye and hits the back of your eye. It gets converted into a means that allows travel through your nerves... then it reaches your physical brain....
OOOhhhhh..... at about that time, the waves emitted have now reached you. They tap out a beat on your "drum"... That info gets converted also, and travels within your nerves until it reaches your brain.
At this point, your brain filtered and let you "see", and then processed again and let you "hear".
Then you realized what was going on.  OOOOOOOOooohhhhhh! AAaaaaaahhhhhh!!! WHAT A SHOW !!!!!!
This is exactly what forms the illusion.
The event happens... and then you realize it...
That is NOT the present. That is, in fact, the past.
The five senses that you have been told about as a child, all of them need "travel time", and process time.
Therefore... your depiction of what present stands for, is not an acurate representation of what it really is!
And you thought you knew where you were...
..... Do you still think you have free will [recall, I have mentionned fine print before], or are you, now simply, taking a ride?
.... Cause... it's happening, and then you know about it...
By the time you "know"... it has already happened.
There are so many wonderful things in PRESENT. It's all around, and you have no idea that it is there. You get a "feeling" now and then, when it "taps you on your shoulder". But you rarily take the offering.
That is your next challenge... what I put forth before you...
STOP living in the PAST! Come join me in PRESENT!

I understand how everything we hear and see is fractions of seconds in the past... but what's your point? If we are unable to process the past we are unable to progress into our future. Present is just a brief moment of understanding as we take our next step forward. If you refuse to aknowlege your past you're just standing still.

Yet it all fits together as if it were supposed to.

Oh good, I was beginning to get worried.
Take some time out of your busy life,
to really see what is going on.
You may be surprised;
you may be shocked;
you may not even fully understand.
Doesn?t matter?
What really counts is that you find your place.
Where is that you say?
You?ll know when you get there?
There will be no mistake for it is just as you left it.
So why don?t they see it all too?
I don?t know? why don?t you?
Oh? I get it.
Fine then, find it together; it?s more fun that way anyhow.
So what are you waiting for?
Do it!
You won?t be sorry.
Don?t be afraid? really.
This time it has a happy ending.
You have waited a long time for this.
Its perfect? you?ve had time to get it right.
It?s all in the set-up; and the stage is now set to your liking?
Has been right from the start.
A word of caution though, for those apposed:
Beware, for everything is remembered!
Cross the line? I dare you!
You will feel the pain too? and then some.
And this time, asking forgiveness will be futile.
The guardian still sleeps.
Dare not wake him with my cries!

this is pretty interesting, man, because I've thought about this before as well. Normally there is also a certain amount of "mind-chatter" going on that also assists in the delay of of my perception of my situation... when I take a psychedelic, my mind feels closer to "the now," and that mind-chatter is minimized - every "piece" of time is simply absorbed instead of processed and analyzed carefully, allowing me to experience more "nowness." Of course, I've gotten caught in loops and stuff as well, but I just find it interesting how "right now" always seems so much more astounding on psychedelics than the "right now" of soberness, where our minds are more concerned with the upcoming lunch-break or finishing the CRC reports in time or getting somewhere "on time."
A little "nowness" is good for everybody - I think its healthy to try and bring one's self into the now, but not too much, or your ego will get pissed (mine would anyway..)
