I can tell you that they are indeed a species of Panaeolus.

As to what species, I am unsure. The fact that they are growing from the grass would lead me to the conclusion of either foenisecii or even castaneifolius.

I swear I see blue bruising down near the base of the third one from the right.

Maybe someone from flordia could give you a better ID.

Sporeprint should come out black.

I doubt that they are pan. subbs...but i do remember reading something about pan subs showing up on newly planted grass of the sod variety...it seems that most sod is grown upon manured soils...but they're not likely subs

Ehhh...

Definately Panaeolus.

I'm pretty sure they're not foens. P. foenisecii have thinner stems that are "shiney." The cap structure is also different, those have beefier looking caps than foens do.

Given that they were found in Florida on grass, I'd say they have some potential of being active. The bear a mild resemblance to the active mushrooms that GG finds.

They've got potential in my opinion. Let's see what GG, and Mitchnast say... they seem to be our resident Panaeolus experts.

Dark Brown Gills are the color of Strophzria not Panaeolus which have black gills.

Stropharia have a light brown in young to dark chocolate brown with age.

I am ooking at them again in photoshop.

If they have the brown gills as noted above then they cannot be Panaeolus.

Panaeolina foenisecii has brown prints But as noted above the stems are thicker than most Panaeolina mushrooms.
Make a spore print to make sure the prints are not black. The gills liook black with white edges, a sign of panaeolus and then I also notice zonate color linbes ont he tops of a few caps, indicative of Panaolina.

Still I have images of stropharias which are now Psilocybes which also resemble these shrooms.

Those are definately not Psilocybe cubensis, not Panaeolus subbalteatus either, and definately not Panaeolus cyanescens either..

And if the spore print is black then it couldn't be Panaeolina foenisecii..

Found in south Florida on a lawn, and it does look like there could be a little bit of bluing on the base of one of the stems..

Those sure as hell look like and match up to the mystery pans i have found in many lawns down here..

What town did you find those?

Keep shroomin, Thanks for the phot0o,
GG

They look like a few species of Panaeolus mixed together into one mushroom ...

And, I still see that bluing on the base of a few.

They aren't casters?

Remember that theire are over 22 spexiewa of panaeolus and not all get one high.
However he said the prints were brown so that leaves out panaeolus species.

What's wrong "Psychogenik", 'Cat got your tongue?

Where about's are you finding your mushrooms at in Florida.?

It was such a pleasure for you to have came here and let us all view them, and then you disappear, if you can reappear - than i will disappear for you, like a Cheshire, or maybe like mjshroomers Mr Oobleck.?

Mjshroomers Mr Oobleck has a tendancy to pop in and out, and Mrs' Oobleck is known to pull the same tricks.

Mjshroomers Oobleck is however not just a seeker of the truth, but Oobleck is a finder of it and Oobleck is not a liar.

May the eye of the Oobleck dance in your conciousness like a white elephant you are not supposed to think about for 30 seconds.

Just don't let mj know you are thinking about his Oobleck, the man has picked a lot more shrooms than most others combined. He's found nice shrooms and rotted shrooms and small shrooms and medium shrooms too, but the Oobleck, the Oobleck is what shroom-world would call a dark-shroom.

So long as you never look into its right eye, then the magic of the Oobleck may only temperarily sink into your being.

Oobleck is now in you, you are now blessed with the potent prayers, of the Oobleck. :heartpump:

Peace, Luv and (most importantly) Light to you and your little lawn mushrooms,
GGreatOne234

Could it be a different variation of P. Antillarum?
