i know what happened to zombi3 but wtf kind of drama turned it into a 40 page thread?

yeah this is about the two quotes i have up there. once from... some mod praying obnoxiously... and me being a dick in a response (which i addmitted to)...

and it cant seem to stop

I didn't get quite the same impression from it as you did.
it sounds to me like you read, "hey zombi3, i talked to god and asked him to do me a favor.  he said you can keep the feet, but you gotta give a few toes."

am I way off base there?

it just sounded like another concerned (albeit religious) friend.

the part about his conversation holding weight on zomb's toes bugged me too though.

oh, I took it as the momento being the gap where his toes used to be.

it's easy for things to get out of hand in a thread so emotionally charged

Thats a highly unsatisfactory answer for me. It implies a certain level of pettiness to this beings personality. That it likes to toy with life in deciding who lives and who dies and freely alters freewill and real world events to exert that on living things. Something more inline with a humans level of development then the thing that willed everything into existence.

Yeah.  agreed it could have died long ago, but if people just maturely left a bad topic alone when we were supposed to, the shroomery just wouldn't be the same would it?

agreed I respect that you admit you were being a dick, but it doesn't excuse it either.

I think we've hashed out what I needed to, and I don't hold any judgements or ill feelings towards you anymore

Most of those 40 pages had to do with Canadian health care VS USA health care. It got really heated in there!

The rest is about people caring for Zombi3 or making lots and LOTS of messed-up pun jokes about his toes/feet.

Not the kind of comedy I enjoy at all. i mean, he could have lost his feet! That would have been horrible.

its far simpler to believe we are all that being, and its motivations are as complex as our own both individually and collectively...

and smoking dmt, will let you talk with something much closer to the whole than the part

What if what Zombi3 refers to as God is merely the collective effort of multiple thoughts thinking into existence his recovery?  Thoughts can be a powerful thing, enough to heal someone's body maybe?  Who knows.  I know that I "Prayed" for his recovery, as I am sure many on the shroomery did.  And supposedly 3 churches.

Normally all our thoughts are chaotic and random, but when aligned towards the same goal maybe they have more power?

I respect that.

I still don't think it discounts my point though. maybe this will clarify.

I've come to view fate and the way the universe works, to be much like a math equation.
sure I can decide whether I go north or south today, but whatever I decide will have a reaction on the other end of things, manifesting at another point in time, without my consent or possibly even awareness.

almost like a machine; always keeping balance.

You're totally right the prayers had everything to do with it and not the doctors that helped him.

i think quietly praying is doing what you feel is best and its good.

i think telling someone you talked to god for them and god explained an outcome, its exploitation when that person is in crisis

What if both aided in his recovery?  You don't know.
