Normally, I tend to stay out of stuff like all that, cause in the end, chances are I'm not changing anyones mind.


What bugged me enough to provoke me to participate though was,

the fact that you feel that you're observed reality to be so much more valid than anyone else's.

I've had encounters with spirits, gods, demons, call them what you will.  To me, those experiences are just as valid (if not more) than dropping an apple and watching it fall as proof of gravity.

Why can't you be ok with saying "I don't know" , or "I disagree, but respect your opinion and beliefs.

No one was promising him false hope.  They share a similar belief system.

anyhow even if he had KNOWN PREVIOUSLY that zombi3 shared his faith, it would have been a crappy move.

but he didnt.

the only persons faith that should have been directed at zombi3 is ... whatever zombi3 feels about faith...

its an exploitative time to use faith and thats why i mouthed off about it, it was fucked up.

for what it's worth, I think it's a little irresponsible, and harmful to the potential of a positive outlook, for (member) to claim that he's going to lose toes as a souveneir because of a conversation with god that he had about zombs.

However, I think the way you went about it was poor.  trying to discredit that and saying that "he doesn't talk back" in a matter-of-fact kind of way, isn't the way to go about it, and only makes you seem disagreeable and arrogant

as for your satire, it's really, really easy to get the impression from it that zombie deserves to lose his toes, cause god is too busy to deal with shit that small while theres kids starving.


while those feelings may or may not have truth to them, that would never be the thread to voice them in (I don't think you have any ill feelings towards him, just using an example)

It's hard for me to ever decide how "it/I/we" prioritize things like that.  true omnipresence would dictate that attending to him and his legs didn't take away any energy from every single other occurance in existance.

maybe it's as simple as, he was supposed to keep his legs right now?  no more miracles needed.
maybe 5 years from now he'll find himself on the sidewalk while a dog or a child is about to get hit by a car, and be able to save them thanks to his legs?

we'll never know man.
