Galerina Autumnalis/Ps. Cyan look alike

Alright so I found what looks like what I expected an galerina to look like. Carmel cap about a half inch in diameter. Stem is a brownish carmelish, obviously not cyan because it is not white. Sadly I have no pictures of this one because when I found it I had to jam it into a pouch pocket and it got slaughtered. I did manage to get a spore print, it suprised me when I saw that it was white. Any ideas on what this mushroom could be, it made me smile when I first saw it hehe. Just curious as to what it could be, I know its not active and I will not eat it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

are you sure its not just a galerina? thats what it sounds like, though I've never done a spore print on one, so I don't know how to reply to that one.
what type of environment did you find it in? woodchips?

In grass that may have wood chips cluttered around in it, but it would be sparsely. My audobon field books says the print would be rust on a galerina, and I have read that on the boards before too. Thanks for the help. =)

If your mushroom had a white spore print, then it was *not* a Galerina. Galerinas have rusty brown spore prints.
If it looked like a Galerina but had a white spore print, then it was most likely a Mycena.
Happy mushrooming!

Nothing of interest actually.
Im hoping he was talking about that he liked them because of their physical characteristics?
Do not eat any Mycena...they may be small and harmless, but... Definetly not a good idea.

Most Mycenas are too small to be of interest for eating. A few are known to be poisonous. None of them are worth eating for any reason.
Happy mushrooming!

Here is a recent link by me to a page I posted showing the similarity of Galerina and p. cyanescens.

Yeah there is no reason for me liking mycena other then I see them all the time.
I am such an idiot, I took another look at the print today and it was yellowish/rusty. Thats what I get for looking at it in bad lighting. Hehe I am assuming it was a Galerina Autamnalis.
