MJ how did Subaeruginosa and allies measure up to the fabled Cyanescens?? I was reading an interesting quote from Guzman the other day, who seems to believe that the mushroom Ps.Australiana tends to differ from Ps.Cyanescens purely microscopically and with a few minor macroscopic characteristics (probably the ones you have pointed out). I wonder if potency would also be similar. Ill find hopefully next May! Very similar though:

Well the full grown specimens I consumed were on a par with the P. cyanescens from Oregon and Washington State.
I do not, however, know if the potecny is the same for the baby shrooms which, as you may have read befored, are five tiems the potency of the larger specimens by weight. Meaning that four to six large P. cyanescens deleiver 4-6 highs per fresh ounce while a once ounce bag of baby specimens say equaling thirty or more specimens seems to yield ten to twney doses or more.
I have rewriteen Gartz as to why he has not identified those prints for me. He just did some minor petri plate cutlivation of a new species I discovered last year and then claimed it grew similar to P. cyanescens and P. azuresens in the mycelia but that it was macroscopically simlar tot he stuntzii complex, as he referred to it.
Problem with that is that the stems on the mew species were completely pure white with intese bluing in them and the caps were the brown color of P. stuntzii, the only macroscopic characteristic was the color of the cap with P. stuntzii in the fresh stage.
However, I and others including Workman think it is not the same..
I am hoping he replies soon to me. It takes two weeks for a letter to ge to grtz from me and more than two weeks to get a reply.
