Did I kill my pan cyans

Hi Guys, this is my first post so I hope I dont step on any toes. I bought a pan cyan grow kit as a first forray into myco-cultivation. it took the form of a take-away type food tin which I assume to contain a cased substrate of pan cyan. I placed this in a terrarium ( cheapo garden centre affair ) with a layer of water in the bottom being heated by an aquarium heater.
My problem is that it looked like there was mycelium growing on the surface in the valleys of the casing layer but the mycelium seems to have aborted and kind of melted away. I suspect this may be because of 'rain' falling from the terrarium roof. I read in a post that this can cause mycelium death but does this mean that the whole thing is dead? the kit has been in the terrarium for about 2 weeks now and I am starting to get worried. I put in a sheet of acetate to deflect the water. but is my experiment doomed to failure?
I am very impressed with the level of expertise the users of this site display and hope that I can contribute when I have some expertise of my own.

Oh yes, the casing layer seems generally very damp. any ideas to save my mushrooms?

Mix the water with peralite..
Also try and make a shield to cover the trayso water dropplets dont fall on it..

u should wait till more opinions but mabey flipping the casing over(after it drys alittle)

thanks. I might try that. Can I remove excess surface moisture by dabbing with kitchen towel?
