I've got a half dozen percocet saved for their concert in April 17th. I'm going to fucking float on the music.

I agree with Blue Yo mind about MXE. It's not super dancy.

Ayo Modest Mouse

For real though, I've decided to lower my intended dosage to 15mg as I have read more. I don't dance really... I just feel the music and vibrate/undulate in weird motions that express how the music affects me.

I think 15mg + 150ug + a blunt + some dabs + a beer or two will get me there

Just curious... since you are Modest Mouse...

what's your favorite song? Album?

I'm gonna be buying some beer at the venue but I'm not gonna get too blasted. More just a good buzz.

My current favorite album is The Lonesome Crowded West, best balance of angst and talent. Also best album opener and closer by far.

But my favorite song is currently Neverending Math Equation. Styrofoam boots, Bukowski, and Dark Center of The Universe are other current goodies. What're some of your picks?

Hell yea LCW is a masterpiece.  Teeth Like God's Shoeshine with its 3 peaks and how it contrasts from heavy to minimal and back, how you think the song is over and it just smacks you in the brain with emotion-filled vocals.

I really like The Stars are Projectors and how it starts off really dark and then transitions into this tension filled finale of beauty.

I'm a big fan of Beta Carotene as well.  Had that on repeat when I first heard it "Despite from all the string, I never had enough- enough to keep you stringin along"

Can't forget about Every Penny Fed Car.

Also "Whenever You Breathe out, I Breathe In (Positive/Negative)" exemplifies the bottom of a pit of neverending depression fueled apathy/loss/grief/unrequited love.

Can't forget about "Broke"

Also Needlepoint, Buttons to Push the Buttons, Barnacles, Nothing New...

GAHHH I gotta get up early and work a long shift tomorrow but now I've got to listen to some MM.  There usually isn't a day that goes by that I don't get my fix LOL

Absolutely.  Night on The Sun is one beautiful piece of music.  And The Air is so methodical and tripped out.

I'm also a huge fan of the song "Parting of the Sensory"

Someday you will die and somehow somethings gonna steal your carbon

Interstate 8 is my favorite all around LP, with the Lonesome Crowded West coming in close second, then The Moon and Antarctica.

Favorite song is definitely Interstate 8, or maybe Night on the Sun. That song is so mindfuckingly beautiful, especially the outro. Wild Pack of Family Dogs is fucking great.

So this shit is going down tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous (pre-trip anxiety). Can anyone tell me how their 150mg trips went?

I'm meeting up with some dude before the show and selling him my extra ticket, then probably dosing shortly after. I am going really early in order to meet Isaac and cop a sig. Its going to be thunderstorming so hopefully people start showing up later than they normally would and I get in the front.

150ug AL, 15 mg MXE, and a joint. That's the plan. Still getting really nervous, but I suspect its unnecessary anxiety. I just don't want to experience ego death in a crowd, but from what I read, 150ug is pretty tame.

I don't know why but for a long time I assumed the lead singer of Modest Mouse was black, am I the only one?

Ah man I'm envious of you going to thay show.  I was planning on going but I got parental responsibilities that come first.  I've been to a few modest mouse concerts and I love them live.  Last time I went to a modest mouse concert it was right outside of Pittsburgh at a skating rink, must have been about 5 or 6 years ago And I had a blast.  I've never been to stage AE but have heard it's a pretty nice venue.  Report back after the concert and let us know how it went.

Hope you have a great time!

t=1m31s

How I would feel leading up to a MM concert.

It's supposed to start at 1:31, but it's not working.
