i found this at an anti-drug site:

also, at the same anti-drug cite, if one follows a couple links, one can find information about the hjstory of psilocybe mushrooms, info on how to use them safely, and even methods on growing. very strange.

it's been traced back to an old Lovecraft story about the mirage plant (a fictitious plant that somewhat resembles - and was most likely inspired by - the cannabis sativa plant)

I'll see what I can do about tracking down the story for ya
