If you're really serious just get a cheap second hand ball mill and produce your own atomized aluminum, jack the wicks from fireworks and get creative with the oxidizers. This was the sole source of my cliques infamy in highschool. That and redbull.

Me and my buddy actually had a copy of "Boom" the book back before the internet and those 'recipes' were right. if you know what chemical reacts a certain way it's just like baking a cake. Our favorite one was cooking down Amonia and Iodine into crystals. SUPER UNSTABLE But fun to play with.
