Those guys were insane.  Are you saying that the thousands and thousands of religious leaders of Islam calling for Jihad are also mentally ill?  Because I'm more than happy to go there and involuntarily commit them all.

They've said repeatedly stop bombing us or we'll execute people...

This is all they've wanted since Saddum was out of power...

Kinda just waiting for things to take care of themselves, no point in me going over there.

The many sketchy war decisions we've made since WW2 has created great skepticism in the public that our government knows what its doing when it comes to committing US ground forces to combat.  It's quite possible that the situation with ISIS (I'm well aware that GWB's war decision enabled ISIS to form and thrive) is one war decision that is truly necessary.  But kinda like the story of the boy that cried "wolf" we're just not buying it.

It's a question of whether the developed and civilized world is going to allow a near medieval style of government with no concern at all about human rights to control millions and millions of people?  Or, do we just let them sort it out and accept horrific violence for perhaps decades?

ISIS is a cancer in the region.  Will the region take care of it?  Maybe if they're at the doorsteps of Mecca or Medina???

ISIS is like a pile of fire ants, poke at it and it will attack anything near to it. The real question is who is the "queen"?

You know how to take care of fire ants.  Pour gasoline over them light match . Either that or super strong poison. I'm fine with the same being done to Isis . the USA is destroying the largest stockpile of chemical weapons in the world right now. Why not use them on those fire ants ...

The queen is those who support them. Some are Saudi and other wealthy Sunnis. I say we clean Isis out and if the Shia and Sunni want to kill each other afterwards let them.

ISIS highest priority is to destroy Shia.  That's what they're doing. The key is for the US not to get in the way of the flying bullets.

Fucking Saudis...  This is all their fault.  The US allying with the House of Saud was a huge mistake in retrospect.  Those greedy pieces of shit have been spending billions each year exporting Wahhabist schools around the world for decades all so they can stay in power.

ISIS is a western backed proxy army, AKA useful idiots for carrying out destabilization and war where-ever it happens to benefit our (corporate) interests.

Iraqi Commander: Tapped Communications Confirms US Aids to ISIL

http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13931227000427

excerpt:

TEHRAN (FNA)- A commander of Iraq's popular forces disclosed that wiretapping of ISIL's communications has confirmed the reports that the US planes have been airdropping food and arms supplies for the Takfiri terrorists.

"The wiretapped ISIL communications by Iraqi popular forces have revealed that the US planes have been dropping weapons and foodstuff for the Takfiri terrorist group," Commander of Iraq's Ali Akbar Battalion told FNA on Wednesday.

He noted that tapping on ISIL disclosed the terrorist group's regular contacts with the US army, and said, "They exchanged sentences like if they would have a share of the ammunition dropped near (Spiker Military Base) or responses such as 'you will also receive your share'."

"The US forces by dropping weapons and ammunition for ISIL, specially in Yassreb, Al-Ramadi and near Spiker Base in Hay al-Qadessiya have provided a lot of help to the ISIL," he added.

Many similar reports by Iraqi officials and forces have surfaced in the last few months.

In February, an Iraqi provincial official lashed out at the western countries and their regional allies for supporting Takfiri terrorists in Iraq, revealing that the US airplanes still continue to airdrop weapons and foodstuff for the ISIL terrorists.

"The US planes have dropped weapons for the ISIL terrorists in the areas under ISIL control and even in those areas that have been recently liberated from the ISIL control to encourage the terrorists to return to those places," Coordinator of Iraqi popular forces Jafar al-Jaberi told FNA.

He noted that eyewitnesses in Al-Havijeh of Kirkuk province had witnessed the US airplanes dropping several suspicious parcels for ISIL terrorists in the province.

"Two coalition planes were also seen above the town of Al-Khas in Diyala and they carried the Takfiri terrorists to the region that has recently been liberated from the ISIL control," Al-Jaberi said.

That's the main reason I'm surprised ISIS still exists, they take nearly anyone who has a pulse and will pray 3 times a day to Allah. I'd like a policy of filling them up with our moles who will commit devastating inside attacks once they have earned their trust. I'm sure there's tons of American patriots with nothing much to lose who would be glad to sign up for a one way trip to serve our country as a spy and saboteur. Those sort of missions would almost certainly be a one way trip but so what. Come on CIA its adventures r us. I bet one guy who enters ISIL as a mole could take out 75 or more ISIL with a well planned attack. Its the oldest trick in the book too.

They probably just send American volunteers right to the front lines, wouldn't you think?  And, in terms of weapons and such, what would you really have access to?  Leave all your special ops goodies behind.  Easier to just bomb the ever living shit out of em.

It will end up being the war to end all wars.  The greatest struggle since World War II and far more destructive of life.

You make good points but even if the moles are shipped straight off to combat he could still inflict heavy damage to his own terrorist platoon/cell. I mean one mole turning a mortar into a booby trap and gunning down his sergeant and a few of the cell's foot soldiers would be a minor victory. And by planting these defectors/sappers it would also make it more difficult for ISIL to recruit new terrorists.

Level Raqqa.  Bulldoze it completely and it's game over for ISIS.

I have a better idea that wont kill any american patriots. Anyone from a western country that wants to join let them hell fund them to be shipped over there. But before they go have the CIA implant a tracking device. Use that tracking device to send them a gift wrapped laser guided bomb . :smilingpuppy:
