Interesting how there is virtually no discussion on this - and like 3 threads on Israel... Over 100,000+ people have been killed in this conflict, an area larger than Syria has been conquered, billions of dollars have flowed into ISIS' treasury from capturing resources, untold thousands have been beheaded and posted on the internet in 30 minute execution montages :wtf: ...

Yup, a lot of these guys are ex-members of the Sons Of Iraq, Petraius' attempt to make a pro-American Sunni army. We're really funding them now that they've stolen all the weapons we gave the Iraqi "army."

Good point, US media won't touch this, although Frontline did a great program on the Iraq war that ends on examining ISIS, really worth watching. US media won't touch this because people can't know that we 100% lost the Iraq war, at the cost of 4000 Americans and 200,000 Iraqi civilians. Pretty tough pill to swallow. That's what it takes to keep us going though. The American delusion is that we're smarter, work harder, deserve more etc. We took what we have from others, just like the Romans, British and Ottomans. That's what it takes to maintain a hegemony; all that wealth going to the ruling class can't come from within, we gotta go out and take it.

We learned nothing.

They learned that we can be fooled into going to war over nothing. Gulf of Tonkin was quite literally a big hoax. Makes you wonder about 9/11.
