First of all, no idea this was in california. "Redwoods" doesn't make me think of california, and I read the op too fast to even care to make associations with words.

I know the cops don't give a shit about someone smoking weed in their own homes but if somebody makes a call, the cops HAVE to do something about it. I was told this by a cop himself. 

And as far as I'm concerned, isn't it only legal for MEDICAL purposes in california? Unlike colorado where it's legal for EVERY purpose? I know cops don't give a shit about weed in california but that doesn't mean that it's not illegal for non medical purposes. So unless you have a script for it, it's technically illegal. I don't agree with it, I'm just stating the law objectively.

If you have the balls, go over to her home and just casually and politely tell her that you think you saw her peeping into your window. If she responds pleasantly then I wouldn't really do anything about it. If she responds negatively I would tell that bitch, "Look, do it again and I will have you arrested for peeping tom. You have no reason whatsoever to be looking into my house, especially with a flashlight. "

What would redwoods make you think of - that's almost literally the only place they are hehe.

I'm not sure if they -have- to do anything, I've worked venues where people working with me decided to call in weed smoking at the venue and the cops refused to answer it... (Washington pre-legalization) I suppose they might knock on your door and ask you to tone it down, but especially in the north - the area I'm most familiar with (where the redwoods are).. the police are intrinsically tied into the cannabis market - they rarely ever touch and in many ways are just trying to keep the law steady in other sectors of said industry - keeping it safe to be around, because its the growers who create the real dangers up there - not the cops so much.

What you need to do is press charges on that bitch for being a peeping tom. It's a real thing. Otherwise you can go over there and ask her why she's peeping in your window but I really don't think that would solve anything and maybe that would cause more problems.

And don't give her a moon shine, because then SHE can call the cops on you for public indecency.

If you call the cops on her and press charges for peeping tom, it will hit her by surprise.

And to be honest, if your bedroom is facing the FRONT of your home, you shouldn't be smoking weed out of your window unless there's a huge bush or tree hiding you.


I dont know if it occurred to any of you guys but she might be just giving OP a heads up that his illegal activities are visible.
