Well explosives are pretty badass

You melted the ore and put it in forms? Always interested me somehow haha

Working at the docks isn't half that bad but man are the deaths stupid

falling inbetween a boat
falling out of a cabbin when getting craned up (to get in the boat)
Bars, plates falling down
The wooden bars to put inbetween steel plates sometimes fall down and these retards are too busy getting stoned...

mebbi I should go to empty sacks/fruit

I do that with other metals, lead, brass, copper and bronze mostly

I've formed steel, huge machines that bend it or shape it. stand in the wrong place
when you hit the pedal and you're likely to die. I has my shirt get caught in a
rollform and it started pulling me in. I popped every button off the shirt to get
out of it, the machine had no safety devices

nearly every workplace injury is caused by negligence, yours or more likely someone
elses. it's always stupid. I was almost hit by a lift truck a few weeks ago because
the driver didnt pay any attention and was cutting a corner short while crossing
into a pedestrian walkway

:whathesaid: This!...My best friend owned a tree trimming outfit and, if any of his workers acted in any way, like you said, they would be immediately fired. This is a bad ass job, but no need to shorten your life by being stupid about it. My friend climbed trees for 30 years and never had a bad accident. Just knowing the type of tree you are climbing and it's grain type is the very first thing you need to know.

I can think of many times being in a hot 3 phase 480v panel thinking, yeah, one slip of the screwdriver and I could die instantly.  Never felt particularly badass.  Then again, I've never felt like a badass climbing trees or whatever either.

So therefore you are illegal currently.

Be careful and hold on to that job like it's your life. If one day you have to find something else as an undocumented worker, chances are you'll be getting payed about half of what minimum wage is to work your ass off 6 or 7 days a week.

Are you planning on applying for a work or student Visa at least? Being undocumented in the US is pretty sketchy if you do drugs man. You get caught one time for a simple possession charge, and your ass is on the next plane to wherever you were born after getting out of jail.

Edit: How/why did you let your green card expire? If you already had one you were set. You realize you now have to start the documentation process from square 1 right? Craziness dude.

it's not always an option, sometimes they have to be running in order to diagnose
them and that has your hands in a control panel with 480v at 150+ amps, but even if
you've turned the machine off that doesnt stop others from turning it back on which
is what the lock out/tag out system is for

hahahaha... no clue where this crap came from, I've never met an illegal that got
paid less than $8/hr and certainly never one making less than minimum wage

Maybe that was a bit exaggerated, but not by much.

The seasonal orange and tomato pickers here in FL are getting paid around 6 an hour if they're undocumented.

I hope you have a good early retirement plan or plan on opening your own business, because once you hit 40 yrs old, that shit is a whole different game... But being a badass also means being safe, so as in other posts,,, get a fucking helmet and harness.

Oh I see. I don't know the whole deal with Cuban immigration as of now, but yea, I'm pretty sure the US isn't going to start deporting Cubans any time soon.

My bad though btw. I should have asked where you're from before making any assumptions. Being Cuban changes everything as far as living in America without a green card or visa.
